Meadows Valley Days has been an annual Labor Day Event in the community of New Meadows, Idaho for over forty years! The originator and instigator of the event was Bud Dixon. It began as a local service club fundraiser with a barbeque and expanded to include the logging show a few years later. The parades and car show are more recent additions to the event. Currently local business members and concerned citizen have stepped up and have kept Meadows Valley Days organized and going year after year. The money raised goes to Meadows Valley School for scholarships, lights for the enormous community Christmas tree, town decorations for the planter boxes and so much more. The committee for the 2010-11 year is led by Linnea Hall. Each event has its own leadership team. The organizers meet throughout the year to prepare for the event that will draw hundreds of people to New Meadows Labor Day . If you haven't been to Meadows Valley Days before, it's time you made plans to come in 2011. We are certain it will become an annual family trip!
